TEXTILES
Creating personal textiles out of reloved leather. A material so precious, it deserves a second chance.

RELOVING LEATHER
For this minor Textiles at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute I decided to reuse, or like I would rather call it; relove, leather. I collected hundreds pieces of old leather and assembled it in to new fabrics with character and a story. With all these leftover pieces of leather, a bustier was created. Solely made from leftover leather. Because a material like leather deserves a second chance at life.

For this project, a lot of research was done in a great amount of techniques to work on leather. I created many swatches and categorized them into three different themes, accompanied with my own illustrations. All to give it a new chance at life
Movement of the skin, a concept about organic shapes, natural movement and biological decay
